Zivijo! I'm Eva from Slovenia (not to be mistaken with Slovakia) and I'm an Erasmus exchange student - not an ordinary one though. Why? Check it out! ;)

The invasion of witches, ghosts and jack-o-lanterns
I must say that I'm against Halloween. I come from Slovenia, which is as you probably know, a very very small country. Slovenians are very proud people, especially of their culture and tradition. When we entered the EU in 2004 many people were sceptical. They feared that in the huge European family we would loose our customs and identity attached to them. Uniqueness means a lot to us and the term globalisation has a negative connotation for most Slovenians. We see Halloween as one of the series of imported celebrations that pose a threat to our celebrations. As I see it, Halloween has nothing to do with my culture and my country and for this reason I don't celebrate it.
